What is a medical spa?

A medical spa, or med spa, is an aesthetic medical center and day spa that provides nonsurgical aesthetic medical services under the supervision of a licensed medical provider. The word esthetics with an "E" and aesthetics with and "A" is interchangeable sometimes. However, esthetics with an "E" is commonly associated with facial skin care, and aesthetics with an "A" incorporates the medical side of skin care.

Who administers the treatments?

Our RNs and estheticians are cross-trained and certified in all services. Our NP, CRNA, and RNs are the only ones who perform injectables.

How does the process work when visiting a medical spa?

Once an appointment is made, medical history forms need to be filled out and consent forms need to be signed. A personalized treatment plan, options, benefits, and side effects are discussed. Then, an agreed upon service is performed.

How much downtime is needed after treatment?

Most treatments have no downtime. However, there are a some that may have a few days of redness and/or peeling. The Subnovii Plasma Rejuvenation treatment may result in facial scabs for 3-7 days after treatment.

Does health insurance cover treatments at a medical spa?

Med spa treatments are cash pay services.

What if the treatment is uncomfortable?

We are excited to introduce the first engineered laser with pain-free treatments to eastern Idaho. Most of our other treatments are pain free too. There are some that are a little uncomfortable like injections. However, we do administer numbing cream for the Subnovii treatment.

How much experience does your staff have?

We have over 40 years of experience in working in the women's health industry.

Do you sell wellness products as well as performing treatments?

Yes. We sell numerous lines of skin products for aging skin, acne, pigmented skin, stem cell products, and many more.

How long is a typical treatment?

Each treatment is different, but on average they usually last between 30-60 minutes.

What is the Derma PRP treatment like?

A small blood sample is is collected. The blood is then spun and processed allowing the proteins in the blood to be restructured in a more densely organized scaffolding to help support soft tissue. The gel that is made is then injected into any areas of concern giving you immediate volume and results.

What side effects are there to Derma PRP?

The most common side effects are transient, including redness, mild to moderate swelling, and bruising. Most patients tolerate the procedure without any difficulty.

How long does a derma PRP treatment last?

We recommend a minimum of 2 treatments, 6-8 weeks apart with repeat sessions every 6-12 months.
